We then went to the Kimbers for a big wild sleep out.

Holidays are here
The holidays are finally here. Ismay celebrated by opening an ice cream shop using some of the resources I used with my class.
She then raided my fabric stash and made a bag for her friend.
One day I let them play with shaving foam in the garden...when I saw all the mess I kind of regretted it but the rain soon washed it away and I realised they had had fun and that was more important.

Mummy has some "me time"
Mummy took Aunty Bex to our French apartment for her birthday. When she returned, the kids were thrilled to get some presents.
When we arrived we were greeted by glorious sunshine.
I spent some time in the mornings on the driving range. The owner very kindly ferried me about in the golf cart so I could access the toilets easily.
I enjoyed decorating the outside of my classroom to make it more appealing and easy to use as an outdoor learning area.
We enjoyed some family time at Church.
We decided to start to prepare for some new arrivals to the Basford household. Can you guess what they might be?????

Mummy & daddy dates
So we have had a hectic few weeks lately. Jason and I decided that it was high time to take the children on dates. Daddy daughter dates for the girls and mummy son dates for me and Eden.
We first drove in Mummy's new car bought with the money mummy received in compensation for the accident.
It was a beautiful day so of course we drove with the roof down. Then it was Pizza Hut for the girls and daddy.
Eden and I went to Frankie and Bennys.

Kitty kats!
After several years of pleading, we finally acquiesced to the children's request for pets in the Basford household. We did a lot of research and decided that cats were probably the best option given that we are often out or away.
Of course the children wanted to get kittens but after research we decided we would probably be better off buying young cats. Ismay and Mia went into overdrive researching and enquiring about cats they saw on the Internet. They worked out a budget and started to do jobs around the house to earn money to buy them and the equipment.
Mia loves to cuddle and so she can often be found with Jorja esconsed in her arms. Tabitha is the adventurous one and she apparently takes herself off to the neighbours. Ismay does the most to look after them, emptying their litter tray and feeding them.
Here is a picture of Ismay first thing in the morning playing with Jorja and Tabitha. We are so glad we rescued them, in the words of Ismay, they really make our house feel like a home.
