The arrival of the rabbits

So during Sunday evening, the children had a lovely surprise. Aunty Corrinna came around with Eva's pet rabbits for them to look after for the next two weeks whilst they are on holiday.

Eden lost interest after the first hour, but Mia and Ismay have really loved looking after them. It's been amazing to see how Ismay in particular has such natural, empathy for them. She will go outside and sit with them for hours on end and she seems to understand their little personalities.

Jason and I have both grown up with various animals, and having seen the effort and expense it takes to maintain a pet, have no desire at all to have our own. It has however been lovely to babysit somebody else's for a couple of weeks.
